We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us in this role as the Senior Manager for our Finance and Accounts team. In this role, your primary objective will be to oversee BRAC's consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in alignment with relevant accounting standards. This involves integrating financial data from diverse entities and subsidiaries while adhering to regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, which is essential to verifying data accuracy, implementing internal controls, and enhancing consolidation procedures for efficiency. You will also be entailed in providing guidance to finance teams to uphold transparency and financial integrity across the organization's reporting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and ensure eliminations and adjustments.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the consolidation process.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and clarifications for the statutory audit of BRAC.
  • Coordinate with programme accounts, tax functions, and head office accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Analyze and compare observations across different periods/projects to formulate internal control and to report highlighted areas that need attention.
  • Generate monthly consolidated management accounts, including variance analysis, for comprehensive reporting.
  • Conduct monthly reviews and analysis of accounts, identifying areas requiring corrections or updates.
  • Prepare and scrutinize various general ledger reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of reporting.
  • Prepare other financial reports as required by management or regulatory bodies
  • Coordinate with various programs, auditors, and departmental functions internally to ensure role fulfillment, while developing and monitoring the monthly closing calendar with stakeholders.
  • Maintain coordination with programs or departments for clarification on monthly variances, exchange views, and contribute to smooth reporting and development.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PPT), effective communication skills, and teamwork abilities are essential.
  • Expertise in finance and accounting, knowledge of IFRS, Tax, and Compliance principles.
  • Strong innovative, analytical, and improvisational abilities, along with a proactive and self-starting attitude, contribute significantly to job performance.
  • Familiarity with accounting tools to streamline operations.

Educational Requirements:

Graduation in any discipline, preferably in Accounting or Finance or any business-related subject. Qualified or partly qualified chartered accountants from a reputed chartered accounting firm (ACCA/ CMA) will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of working experience in audit/ compliance/ finance/ and laws and regulations.
